Manama, Bahrain – 12 February 2026 – The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) organized a sports event for staff on the occasion of Bahrain Sports Day.

On this occasion, HE Khalid Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain commended the Cabinet’s decision to designate 12 February 2026 as a half-working day for all ministries and government entities, thereby providing staff with the opportunity to participate in the Bahrain Sports Day activities. HE emphasized that this initiative reinforces the role of sports as a social culture and affirmed that the decision reflects the Government’s commitment to promoting sports and physical well-being, while embodying its support for national initiatives aimed at fostering values of physical activity and vitality within society.

The event featured a range of sports activities aimed at raising awareness of physical health and encouraging employees to adopt a comprehensive and healthy lifestyle.
