CBB Raises Key Interest Rate

Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain –19th December 2018 – The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has decided and effective immediately to raise its key policy interest rate. CBB’s key policy interest rate on the one-week deposit facility is raised from 2.50% to 2.75%.
The CBB has also decided to increase the overnight deposit rate from 2.25% to 2.50%, the lending rate from 4.25% to 4.50% while the one-month deposit rate will remain the same at 3.25%.
